South Africa, Let’s Break a WORLD RECORD!

This Heritage Day, 24 September 2025, Big Save (A proudly South Africa Supermarket & Wholesaler since 1989) and 2,500 proud South Africans are to assemble at Loftus Versfeld Stadium to break the World Record for the most people braaing simultaneously in one venue.

South Africa is setting the stage for something legendary.

• 2,500 People
• 420 Custom Braai Stations
• 10:00 – 12:00 – The record attempt
• 12:00 – 20:00 – Live festival with music, food & fun

How It Works

Each participant gets:

• A portion of boerewors and fresh roll
• Branded apron + pair of tongs to keep
• Shared braai access (one braai per six people)
  At exactly 10am, all 2,500 participants will fire up together — creating one massive South African braai moment

Festival Fun After the Record

Once the fire’s lit and the record’s stamped, the real celebration begins:

• Live performances by Mi Casa, GoodLuck, Booshle G, and more!
• Beer garden (18+ only)
• Tasty food trucks and chommie-catered goodies
• Family zones, games, and sponsor activations

A Celebration with Heart

All proceeds go to the Trek4Mandela initiative and the Imbumba Foundation, aiming to raise support for their mission:

• Provide 1 million meals on World Hunger Day 2026
• Support menstrual‑health & youth education through Caring4Girls
• Back inspirational summits and advocacy by Trek4Mandela

Event Details

The World’s Biggest Braai will take place at Loftus Versfeld D Field, located at 416 Kirkness Street, Pretoria. Gates open at 09:00 AM, and the festivities will carry on until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, 24 September 2025 — right in the heart of Heritage Day.
