Mark your calendars! From 13 to 16 June 2025, it’s time for the Big Fish Challenge at Roodekoppies Dam. This premier carp fishing competition offers anglers the chance to showcase their skills and compete for substantial cash prizes.

🎯 Competition Details:

Teams: 3 anglers per team using 4 rods.
Objective: Catch the 3 biggest fish, each weighing a minimum of 10kg.
Fishing Zones: Participants can fish from any public or private venue on Roodekoppies Dam, with designated boat zones.
Weigh-Ins: Remote app-based weigh-ins ensure convenience and accuracy.

💰 Prizes:

1st Place: R50,000 cash
2nd Place: R25,000 cash
3rd Place: R15,000 cash
Additional prizes for the biggest fish and biggest mirror carp.

🗓️ Schedule:

Registration: 13 June, 7:00am – 8:30am at Roodekoppies
Competition Start: 13 June, 10:00am
Competition End: 16 June, 11:00am
Prize Giving: 16 June, from 12:30pm at Roodekoppies
